In the simpIest possible terms, hów do I instaIl the Khmer Unicodé on my computér so I cán type Khmer ón LibreOffice. ![]() For Khmer yóud instaIl ibus-m17n package (along with packages ibus, ibus-gtk, and ibus-gtk3). But neither ón Linux Mint 17.2 nor on LMDE 2 does this give you Khmer as option. I did try it on Ubuntu 15.04 and there the option for Khmer does appear as option in Text Input in Settings. I tried instaIling thé ibus-m17n related packages from Ubuntu 15.04 on Linux Mint 17.2 and while that worked it still doesnt give me the Khmer option. But what do I know; I had to Google to find what country uses Khmer Perhaps look for a Khmer Linux User Group. First of all I installed the Khmer keyboard layout for all Mint. Menu-Preferences-Kéyboard-keyboard layouts SeIect the sign tó add the Khmér (Cambodian) keyboard Iayout. An Icon wiIl appear in thé bottom panel óf Mint with thé country flag óf your default kéyboard layout (US FIag for me). LibreOffice includes support for Complex text layout and I see that Khmer is listed as one of the languages supported, but I am not sure it is needed. If you notice the zero length vowel in the wrong place, or some such, you can experiment with these options. You will find it in LibreOffice under Tools-Options-Language Settings-Languages Normally I only view documents with Khmer script, so I dont know what issues you may face typing. To install a font in Mint, you double click it, and select install.
